What it is

Reiki Brainspotting is a single, integrated session that weaves two powerful modalities together. Brainspotting works through where you look to access where you feel. Reiki works through energy to support what the body is ready to release.

Most healing modalities work on one layer at a time. Talk therapy works the mind. Bodywork works the body. Energy work works the subtle. Reiki Brainspotting works all of them at once, in a single sixty-minute session, in a way that's hard to describe but unmistakable to experience.

Jenna developed this blend over years of practice. As both a Certified Brainspotting Therapist and a Reiki Master & Teacher, she noticed that when she brought the two modalities into the same session, clients moved through stuck material faster, with less effort, and with a sense of being more deeply met than either approach alone.

"Brainspotting is shocking, just wow. It's that wow amazing incredible experience. You just have to do it."

The two modalities

Brainspotting and Reiki, woven into one session

Each modality has its own history, its own evidence base, and its own way of working. Understanding them separately helps make sense of what happens when they meet.

Brain-Body Therapy

Brainspotting

Developed by Dr. David Grand in 2003, Brainspotting is a focused, body-led therapy that uses where you look to access where you feel. Specific eye positions act as anchors to the brain regions that hold trauma, stuck emotion, or performance blocks.

It's especially powerful for material that talk therapy alone has not reached. Sessions often involve quiet inner work, with the therapist as a steady, attuned witness rather than a directive guide.

Energy Healing

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice, developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. Through light touch or hands held just above the body, the practitioner supports the flow of energy that helps the body return to balance.

Clients commonly describe Reiki as deeply calming, sometimes profoundly moving, and often felt long after the session ends. It works on layers the mind cannot reach by thinking.

And then, together

When Brainspotting and Reiki happen in the same session, something shifts. The eye position holds the focus. The energy work softens the body's defenses. The two modalities open different doors at the same time, and the work that emerges through them often runs deeper than either could alone.

This isn't traditional Reiki. It isn't traditional Brainspotting. It's a third thing, born from Jenna's training in both, and refined over years of practice with real clients moving through real work.

What it feels like

Sixty minutes of being met, exactly where you are

A Reiki Brainspotting session is held in a quiet room with soft light, comfortable seating, and the kind of presence that lets your nervous system know it's safe to settle. We begin with a brief check-in about what's bringing you in, then move into the work itself.

You may be sitting or lying down, eyes open or closed. Jenna will guide you to a soft eye position that connects to what you're working through, and from there, the session unfolds. There's often less talking than you'd expect, and more of what people describe as "going inward."

Reiki happens alongside, often as hands held just above the body, in ways that support whatever is moving through you. You don't have to perform, prepare, or know what's about to happen. The work meets you where you are.

What it helps with

What people often come for

Reiki Brainspotting reaches material that traditional approaches sometimes leave untouched. These are some of the most common reasons clients come, though the work itself often goes wherever it needs to.

Trauma & PTSD Anxiety Grief & loss Performance blocks Stuck emotional patterns Chronic stress Body-held tension Spiritual searching Burnout & depletion Energetic disconnection Creative blocks Deep self-inquiry
